The year 2016 is a year where we  got the privilege to witness great advancement in smartphone technology. This year we have different OEM like Samsung,LG, HTC etc competing with  each other to make their flagship stand out among the rest. There have been many companies which stand out in the world of smartphone but the latest and greatest comes from these phones

Samsung Galaxy S7/S7 Edge: This is the best that samsung has to offer which is quiet popular due to its refined design over the  previous years Galaxy S6. This year samsung has decided to listen to its customers and it offered various improvements to the last years flagship.The features include SD card expantion, water and dust proofing, a bigger batter and much more.This year samsung has played safe and hasn't bought major changes like it did last year. They are really sticking with the metal and glass design which feels super premium.

LG G5: LG's answer to the galaxy S7 is its new much awaited flagship "The LG G5" .The Lg have taken a great risk and brought innovation to the table this year.They introduced the modular design for their flagship. They offer swapable modules which are of various functionality like HI-FI audio dac module to camera module with handgrip and extra battery.Not to forget it also offers removable battery and SD card expansion.It also sports a dual camera in the rear which helps in taking super wide photos from the smartphone without the need for any additional wide angle lens.The body of the G5 is made of metal but its doesn't feel as premium compared to other offerings due to its paint coating to prevent visible antenna and also the build quality is not very polished as it is rough at the edges where the module seperates from the phone.

HTC 10: After  a long hard year HTC has decided to make a change and show some innovation to their smartphone lineup and has steped up their game. They have stated that the smartphone nowadays lack any major innovation so the decided to address this issue with their most ambitious flagship yet "HTC 10".The number 10 represents a perfect score so they tried to give justice to the name of the device. The phone offers a full metal build with chamfered  edges which looks fantastic and the boomsound is also back with with a different twist .It offers the first of its kind OIS in its front facing camera.The device looks very promising considering its high expectations.

All the devices are great on their own right and choosing any one is totally subjective and upto one's preferences.So these device have major competition in their field from each other and from other immersing companies like Huawei,,Xiaomi which offer flagship specs for relatively less price .

Originally developed by Android, Inc., which Google bought in 2005 to research further on the OS because it saw great potential in it. Android was unveiled in 2007 by google. The first ever android smartphone was the HTC Dream(G1) which was released on October 22, 2008 . Since its release it has powered billions of devices. Android has seen numerous updates which have incrementally improved the operating system, adding new features and fixing bugs in previous releases. The first version of was named android 1.5 "Cupcake".The tradition of naming android versions derived from sugary treats still continues till this date making android 6.0 "marshmallow" .

As android has matured marvelously it has fixed lots of bugs and issues that it had in its previous versions android has matured enough to make it a top notch OS .Hoping to see further improvements on the android eco system in the near future .
